The Sindh government on Friday announced the reopening of universities from February following the decisions taken by the National Command and Operation Center.
The Sindh Government is pleased to announce that all public and private sector universities, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resources & Research Development Board (BBSHRRDB) and the Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA), which operate under the administrative control of the universities and the Government Department in Sindh must reopen / resume the academic and research activity wef 01-02-2021, “said the announcement.
However, the notification reminded people that the departments and institutions would reopen in accordance with the relevant instructions from the government in the light of coronavirus.
Earlier, the Sindh government had issued announcements on the reopening of schools and colleges after Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood announced the phase reopening of educational institutions.
Punjab notifies reopening of educational institutions
Meanwhile, the Punjab government announced that all public and private primary schools and universities will reopen in February.
Punjab Education Minister Dr Murad Raas shared a message on Twitter outlining all the details regarding the reopening of educational institutions and the standard procedures to be followed.
According to the announcement, students from all educational institutions will participate in teaching on alternative days. The study quota must remain 50% every day.
The provincial department stated that the board exams for SSC and HSSC students will be held in May and June.
